This Fiberworks Small Form Factor 10Gb/s (SFP+) transceiver is for duplex optical data communications, such as 10GBase-ER/EW, and 10G Fiber Channel applications.
The transceiver consists of two sections: the transmitter section incorporates a temperature-stabilized EML laser, and the receiver section consists of a PIN photodiode integrated with a TIA. All modules satisfy class I laser safety requirements.
Digital diagnostics functions according to SFF-8472 allows real-time access to device operating parameters such as transceiver temperature, laser bias current, transmitted optical power, received optical power and transceiver supply voltage.
DWDM modules operate at Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) wavelengths. There are 45 wavelengths available from 1528.77 nm – 1563.86 nm in 100 GHz (˜ 0.8 nm) channel spacing. The DWDM characteristics are fully compliant to the wavelength parameters specified in ITU-T standards G.692 and G.694.1.
