The QSFP-DD ER8 transceiver is a 400 Gbit/s pluggable module for optical data communications such as 400GBASE Ethernet. The transceiver operates with eight parallel data streams of 53.125Gbps in order to provide an aggregated signaling rate of 425 Gbps. The eight lanes are launched with center wavelengths of 1273nm, 1277nm, 1282nm , 1286nm , 1295nm , 1300nm 1304nm and 1309nm and multiplexed onto singlemode fiber. On the receive side, the eight lanes of optical data streams are de-multiplexed by the transceiver and retimed.
The module is fully compliant with QSFP-DD related MSA standards and Digital Diagnostic functions are available through an I2C interface. QDD-400G-ER8 complies with IEEE 802.3bs 400Gbase-ER8.
